We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Architect that will focus on AI and data analytics. This person will help establish and promote Zions data AI/analytics capabilities as we continue to modernize our environments. This person will be a catalyst for change, an advocate for the enterprise, and have a direct impact on Zions Bancorporation.
The Enterprise Architecture and Strategy organization is at the heart of innovation at Zions Bancorporation. We are continually modernizing many of Zions’ key banking applications/system and its banking core. In addition to application development, we manage the key platforms, services, and processes which enable modernizing engineering and IT operations and delivery through DevSecOps and Agile/Lean principles. The Senior Analytics Architect Responsibilities and Accountabilities will include:
· Working closely with Data Scientists and BI Professionals to architect solutions that can support the effective deployment of AI/ML models that share enterprise data with reporting and analytics.
· Staying up to date with the latest AI technologies, emerging technologies, and industry standards and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
· Training and educating others on diversity and proper use/governance of AI and other types of analytics.
· Owning and maturing the Enterprise Architecture practice by creating reference architectures, roadmaps, patterns, standards and influencing their adoption.
· Partnering with technology and business stakeholders to understand the overall data architecture to ensure seamless coordination with application and data strategies.
· Guiding engineering teams on performance testing, monitoring, and optimization of both application and data integration methods to ensure high availability, scalability, and responsiveness.
· Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as to leverage shared technologies, tools and processes.
· Participating in business and technology strategic planning processes and guiding business capability and technical capability initiative roadmaps.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Experience with AI/ML with data preparation and model training
· Deep understanding of model performance and scaling models in production environments.
· Familiarity with AI observability and troubleshooting models.
· 8 plus years of experience in enterprise architecture and IT leadership.
· Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or related field.
· Proven track record of influencing change and leading strategic enterprise IT initiatives to achieve well-defined business objectives.
· Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and technical experts at all organizational levels.
· Ability to cultivate a shared strategic vision, articulate clear business objectives, and align the organization to achieve them.
· Banking or other Financial Services experience is a plus.
Location: This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
