Zions Bancorporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud Enablement Engineering Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Data and Cloud Services Director, this role is pivotal in establishing and evolving our cloud services foundation. As a player/coach, you will not only delve into the technical details but also guide and motivate your team towards achieving strategic business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
· Technical Leadership: Act as a player/coach, balancing hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities to drive team success. Protect the team from distractions and scope increases, allowing them to focus on delivery and achieving business outcomes.
· Cloud Enablement: Establish a robust cloud foundation, onboard cloud-native services, and implement security controls to support our migration strategy. Advance the enterprise vision for automation testing and security practices, ensuring a safe and comprehensive cloud journey.
· Strategic Alignment: Partner with peer organizations to harmonize priorities, training efforts, adoption journeys, and cloud strategies, promoting integrated and aligned progress.
· Customer Centricity: Leads design and implementation of cloud solutions with a strong focus on customer needs and satisfaction. Continuously gather and incorporate customer feedback to improve services and outcomes.
· Team Development: Foster a high-performance culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning, ensuring team members are motivated and equipped to achieve their best.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps, with at least 2 years as an engineering lead or manager.
· Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, with advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines.
· Proven experience in migrating workloads from on-premises to public cloud environments.
· Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of engaging with the entire organization and senior leadership.
· Experience leading high performing teams.
· Experience with DevOps practices.
· Experience with DevSecOps is a plus.
· Experience in highly regulated environments is a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
· A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
