Compliance Officer - Fair Banking Advertising Compliance - UT, NV, CO AZ

Location & Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, in-office position based at one of Zions Bancorporation’s affiliate offices in Salt Lake City, UT (Zions Bank); Las Vegas, NV (Nevada State Bank); Denver, CO (Vectra Bank Colorado); or Phoenix, AZ (National Bank of Arizona). Minimal intra-state or interstate travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Fair Banking Advertising Compliance (FBAC) responsibilities, comprising approximately 70% of the role.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and other areas of Compliance, such as: Deposit Operations, Privacy, Digital, Credit, Testing, and more to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
Apply regulatory standards to review and approve advertising and marketing materials across digital, print, broadcast, and other channels.
Utilize tools such as Adobe Workfront, Archer, Excel and Power BI to manage compliance workflows and reporting.
Conduct quality control and assurance testing
Execute ongoing monitoring as a dedicated member of the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) within three lines of defense risk management model, pursuant to the Compliance Risk Management (CRM) Oversight Program, comprising approximately 30% of the role.
Control testing and validation, evaluate risk and performance metrics, review material changes to governance documents, issues validation, consultation and advisory services, including review and challenge, and regulatory change management activities.
Support the development and implementation of governance frameworks, including QC/QA protocols and escalation procedures.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on business operations.
Participate in enterprise-wide compliance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, CRMC or other Compliance license preferred.
Minimum of 0-2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within financial services. A mixture of education and experience will be considered.
Strong knowledge of consumer protection regulations including ADA, UDAAP, UDAP, FDIC Advertisement of Membership, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, TISA, TILA, etc.
Proficiency in compliance tools and systems: Workfront, Archer, Excel, Power BI, Adobe.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence, persuade and train cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, mindfulness, and problem-solving.
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and affiliates.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Experience in advertising compliance and marketing review processes is highly desirable.
Salary Range
- This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $67,000 - $80,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience, education and location.
