We are seeking a Business Information Analyst to join the CDI Hub team at Zions Bancorporation, supporting Zions' Customer Data ASOR. This Business Information Analyst will partner closely with data engineering, data modeling, architecture, and various business units to ensure customer data is consistent, accurate, and of high quality to meet advanced analytical and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Define business needs, functional and non-functional requirements, and process flows, providing visual illustrations of technical concepts and maintaining clear, accurate, and detailed documentation.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications alongside data engineering, acting as a liaison for modern data architecture (APIs, data schemas, Kafka/MQ event streaming) to ensure seamless enterprise connectivity.
- Perform deep-dive data analysis, source-to-target mapping, and utilize logical/physical data models, working closely with the modeling team to refine canonical data models.
- Conduct tests or test planning sessions, provide input for feasibility, prepare user documentation, and follow-up evaluation. Test and validate data attributes based on source data and results from other systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, deduplication algorithms, and data governance standards is a plus.
- Occasionally lead small projects and/or teams to develop solutions for internal business units.
- IBM Infosphere MDM’s Probabilistic Matching Engine (PME)-specific expectations:
- Be the main point of contact for the deduplication functionality in CDI Hub.
- Perform source system data profiling to establish baseline quality status, perform PME algorithm tuning, and conduct sample pair reviews.
- Define and maintain Survivorship and Suspect Action Rules within the MDM ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or other related fields and 4+ yrs of proven experience in Business Information Analysis, Data Analysis, or similar field. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- Familiarity/expertise in IBM Infosphere MDM’s Probabilistic Matching Engine (PME) (or a similar function) is a plus, OR a strong commitment to undergo formal and on-the-job training to acquire these skills.
- Experience in complex business & data analysis, data mapping, data models, and APIs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead small projects and work effectively across multiple departments.

This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047
