We are seeking a Business Analyst (Technical) to join Zions Bancorporation. The Business Analyst (Technical) plays a key role in our Transformation Office, working directly for the Director of Customer Experience. As a key player in our team, you will continue our ongoing efforts to optimize end-to-end customer-facing processes and implement automation solutions to reduce friction points and elevate the overall customer experience.

 

The Business Analyst will:

  • Analyze Business Systems: Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes.
  • Gather and Document Requirements: Drive system process and improvement initiatives by gathering and documenting business system requirements.
  • Develop Automation Solutions: Develop and implement automation solutions to maintain the Customer Experience (CX) program and collect opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize Processes and Improve Employee Experience: Focus on optimizing end-to-end customer-facing processes and enhancing employee experience through process redesign or automation, ensuring that internal processes are efficient and user-friendly.
  • Project Management: May perform project management leadership functions as a project manager or team member for small scope projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a technical product owner role
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional technical initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, including process automation and system integration
  • Strong experience with data-driven decision-making, including defining KPIs and success metrics
  • Advanced proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., core banking platforms, CRM, workflow tools)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with financial services or banking systems is a plus
  • Experience supporting customer experience (CX) or transformation initiatives is a plus
  • Exposure to citizen development or low-code/no-code platforms is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps is a plus
  • Experience working with APIs, system integrations or vendor platforms is a plus

This Business Analyst (Technical) position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
