We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft 365 Systems Engineer to join our Digital Workplace Platform Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, scalability, and innovation of our Microsoft 365 environment, with a strong focus on SharePoint Online, Copilot and the Power Platform.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer, design, implement, and maintain solutions within Microsoft 365, with a focus on SharePoint Online, Copilot and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support digital workplace initiatives and drive user adoption.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and compliance with security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 services and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in change management and governance processes for Microsoft 365 services.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and support staff.
  • Available for 24/7 on-call rotation as needed

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, particularly SharePoint Online, Copilot and Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, security, and compliance features.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.  A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for identity and access management is a plus
  • Experience / exposure to SharePoint 2016, Microsoft 365 Loop, Microsoft 365 Viva Connections and Microsoft 365 Viva Engage is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance is a plus
  • Microsoft certifications are a plus.
