We are seeking a dynamic Financial Systems Manager to oversee and optimize financial systems, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with business needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial business processes and procedures, strong problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills, coupled with relevant technical expertise and managerial experience. This role also requires a strong ability to support enterprise projects and ensure the timely delivery of solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technology support teams to ensure optimal functionality and minimal system issues
  • Monitor and oversee issue resolution and root cause analysis to maintain system reliability and performance
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, Corporate Finance and other departments to understand and prioritize their needs then translate into effective system solutions
  • Lead and manage a team of Financial System analysts, fostering development and accountability
  • Supervise testing procedures, user training and on-call support
  • Undertake other duties as assigned in alignment with business needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with financial systems: familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud ERP or other ERP system is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to apply application knowledge to optimize and enhance financial processes
  • Thorough understanding of system-related SOX controls and regulatory compliance standards for publicly traded companies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to drive meaningful insights and solutions
  • Managerial or supervisory experience in a relevant domain is preferred

  • Expertise in financial systems and processes
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple and/or changing priorities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage team members effectively
  • Proficiency in test procedures and user documentation related to financial systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining high attention to detail

This position is located at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT with a minimum of four days per week in the office.  Occasional meetings occur at the Zions Bank Building in downtown Salt Lake City.
