We are seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in data orchestration and business intelligence (like Power BI) to join our team supporting the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) department. In this role, you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver impactful business. Your work will directly support data-driven decision-making and provide critical insights into cybersecurity risk and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines in Databricks platform to ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources into curated data marts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and implement scalable data solutions aligned with business needs.
- Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards to visualize key cybersecurity metrics and performance indicators with clarity and precision.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle.
- Document data flows, transformation logic, and business processes to support transparency and maintainability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve data engineering and reporting processes for performance and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role.
- Proven experience building CDC and CDF data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, or similar big data platforms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and working with REST APIs.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and report optimization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cybersecurity or information security data is a plus.
- Experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Workflows, Jobs, and notebook orchestration.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and security best practices within Databricks.
- Experience with Power Query (M language) and advanced DAX for complex data modeling and calculations.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and Databricks using tools like Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Azure Boards.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI)
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional
