Zions Bancorporation is seeking an Asset Based Lending Analyst to join our Asset Based Lending team in Salt Lake City, UT. Asset-based lending provides loans secured by business assets such as receivables, inventory, equipment, or real estate. Our team partners with clients to deliver customized credit solutions that support growth while mitigating risk. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting ABL operations within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will leverage their banking, accounting, and finance expertise to analyze collateral, conduct due diligence, and develop financial models that drive business decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, contribute to credit analysis, and ensure the integrity of loan documentation. Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth financial models including financial statement projections, cash flow budgeting, and asset-based lending collateral forecasts.
- Conduct borrower financial, accounts receivable, inventory, and other collateral analysis, borrower due diligence, credit investigations, and loan analysis.
- Review collateral field examinations for relevant information and areas of concern.
- Meet with and interview customers to develop a strong understanding of the loan request and the business.
- Analyze financial statements including performance trends and covenant compliance with loan documents.
- Prepare summaries, present facts, and offer opinions concerning credit-worthiness, value of asset-based lending collateral, and other risk items or issues.
- Ensure that all credit files include current information and other required documentation.
- Assist with projects as needed.
- Maintain solid client relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- 2 to 4+ years of financial analysis, field exam, lending, underwriting, or other directly related experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial statements, financial spreading and analysis, and financial modeling.
- Solid client relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations regarding loans.
- Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
- A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
