We are looking for a Senior Commercial Lender in Irvine, San Diego, San Francisco or Los Angeles CA.
Senior Commercial Banker (ESOP)
We are seeking a production-driven and knowledgeable middle-market ESOP Lending Officer to join our growing Commercial Banking team. This role is ideal for a seasoned banker with experience leading ESOP or leveraged lending financing transactions, who is ready to take ownership of client relationships, structure complex transactions, and contribute to the strategic growth of our ESOP lending platform.
Job Responsibilities:
- Originate and structure ESOP transactions for middle-market and corporate clients, including partial or complete ESOP conversions, recapitalizations, and growth financing.
- Manage client relationships from initial engagement through closing and ongoing portfolio management.
- Conduct financial analysis and underwriting in partnership with credit and risk teams.
- Collaborate with external advisors including ESOP consultants, trustees, and valuation firms to ensure smooth execution.
- Support strategic initiatives to grow the ESOP lending portfolio and enhance market visibility.
- Maintain a strong network within the ESOP advisory ecosystem and middle-market business community.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's and 10+ years' experience with commercial lending, credit, underwriting. 5+ years must be progressive commercial lending experience within banking or financial services with at least 1+ years working with ESOP.
A combination of education and experience may meet the requirements.
Subject matter expert knowledge of commercial loans, credit analysis, lending, loan processing and closing processes.
Ability to expand commercial loans, client relationships and cross-sell bank products.
Requires exceptional sales ability.
Expert experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment skills.
Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Manages the most high-risk, complex, and large commercial portfolios.
Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $184,000 - $225,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
