We are looking for a Regional Manager in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing all operational, strategic, and administrative functions for a major bank region or segment, ensuring effective staffing, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and the development of policies and procedures that align with business objectives and market trends. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Manages the activities of a major bank region or segment.  
  • Reviews and recommends departmental objectives, goals and procedures.  
  • Monitors the quality of the work produced.  
  • Ensures adequate staff, materials and procedures are in place for effective operations.  
  • Recommends and implements effective departmental policies and procedures to remain in line with industry trends, market needs and bank objectives.  
  • Contributes to the development of innovative policies and procedures to best meet business needs.  
  • Controls departmental expenses.  
  • Ensures compliance with all related legal requirements and banking regulations.  
  • Typically has final authority concerning staffing, performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.  
  • Provides guidance to subordinate supervisors and staff.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in business or finance or a related field and 12+ years of lending experience including 5 years of managerial experience over a major, multidiscipline, segment of the company.  
  • Strong multifaceted banking knowledge including knowledge of complex credit structures and advanced lending policies, procedures and techniques.  
  • Expert level knowledge in the assigned specialty or market segment.  
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills.  
  • Sound analytical and reasoning skills.  
  • High level negotiation and written communication skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $238,000 - $265,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
