We are seeking a talented Business Operations and Strategy Manager to join our team. This role can be based at one of our San Diego locations—either our Torrey Pines HQ or our Golden Triangle offices—or at our Irvine Corporate Center. This is an in-office position with some travel required across our California locations and others.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Integrating sales, service, and alternative channel strategies, as well as enhancing the customer experience within our banking offices and branches. 

  • Interacts with bank management, business units and department managers to support effective delivery of bank products and services.  

  • Monitors processes essential to consumer and business lending to ensure effective mitigation of risk.  

  • Leads an interdisciplinary team of project professionals, along with selected line banking representatives, in the development of a set of recommendations and implementation plans.  

  • Submits recommendations built upon market potential analysis, financial performance analysis, human resource planning/skill development actions, facility redesign, channel management alternatives, and alignment of branch/office topology with target customer segments and market expectations.  

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a bachelor’s in business administration, finance or related degree and 8+ years of experience in both line and staff positions.   

  • Exposure to a wide variety of business issues surrounding market potential assessment, financial performance improvement, personnel performance improvement, customer experience management, and goal achievement or other directly related experience.  Requires leadership and management experience.  A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. 

  • Expert knowledge of wide variety of business issues surrounding market potential assessment, financial and personnel performance improvement, and customer experience management.  

  • Must have extensive experience with leadership, management, coaching, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.   

  • Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. 

  • Exceptional ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues.   

  • Ability to meet deadlines, schedules and budgeted costs.   

  • Expert negotiation and facilitation abilities. 

  • Excellent strategic planning, project and change management skills.  

  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and circumstances to properly complete assignments.  

  • Expert analytical, team building, and business conceptual skills surrounding efforts to integrating sales strategy, service strategy, alternative channel strategy, and the customer experience.  

  • Ability to manage single threaded and multi-disciplinary project teams for limited and bank-wide projects.  

  • Advanced experience in solution identification and assessment, creation of business and financial cases.   

 

Pay Range: $170,000 - $200,00 based on experience and other job-related factors.
