We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join Amegy’s Commercial Lending team in San Antonio, TX. 

Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Complete accurate and consistent risk assessment, financial statement spreads, and covenant compliance in accordance with bank spreading standards and corporate credit policies and collateral reviews, as applicable.
  • Maintain a compliance monitoring database that tracks credit approval requirements and receipt of customer's financial reporting requirements on behalf of Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers.
  • Contact customers in regard to requesting information.
  • Make recommendations and identify red-flag concerns to the Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers through written documentation and other forms of communication.
  • Perform general administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelors and 2+ years experience with credit associated lending including credit analysis, policies, and procedures or other directly related experience.  A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

  • Working knowledge of credit analysis, administration, and policies/procedures.
  • Must be proficient in reading, understanding, and analyzing financial statements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in common office software applications.
