Zions Bancorp. is seeking an experienced International Relationship Manager to originate, underwrite, and manage commercial lending relationships for companies engaged in international trade and cross-border business.
International Banking provides financing solutions to exporters, importers, U.S. subsidiaries of foreign companies, and international corporates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow commercial banking relationships.
- Originate, structure, underwrite, and close commercial credit facilities.
- Manage a portfolio of commercial clients while maintaining strong credit quality.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, client relationships, and internal partnerships.
- Deliver trade finance solutions, including:
- EXIM Bank programs
- Foreign Direct Investment
- Trade Cycle Finance
- Supply Chain Finance
- Credit-Insured Lending
- Letters of Credit
- Foreign Exchange
- Conduct financial analysis, portfolio reviews, and credit structuring.
- Partner with Credit, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Treasury Management, and executive leadership to support portfolio growth and risk management.
Important
This position requires commercial banking lending experience. Candidates whose experience is limited to international business, logistics, freight forwarding, import/export operations, trade services, or consulting without commercial lending experience will not be considered.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial banking relationship management and commercial lending experience.
- Experience developing commercial banking relationships, analyzing financial statements, structuring credit facilities, and managing a commercial loan portfolio.
- Experience presenting credit requests and working within a formal credit approval process.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending, credit analysis, treasury management, depository services, and letters of credit.
- Formal commercial credit training preferred.
- Proven business development and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Language
- Fluent Spanish required.
