We’re seeking a motivated and client-focused Client Relationship Associate to join our dynamic Houston Regional Commercial Lending Group in Northwest Crossing / Houston, TX. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting relationship managers, ensuring exceptional client service, and helping drive business growth through operational excellence and proactive client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide ongoing support to Loan Officers, enabling them to manage loan portfolios with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Perform administrative and clerical functions to support loan processing, deposit management, and account servicing.

  • Manage loan renewal and modification requests to ensure compliance with portfolio standards.

  • Contact clients to secure current financial statements, credit reports, and proof of income.

  • Evaluate client-submitted documents to ensure they meet all bank compliance and documentation requirements.

  • Manage account openings and closures, maintain accurate signer information, and perform notary duties when needed.

  • Oversee and manage exceptions in reporting, including collateral, financial, material, and deposit-related discrepancies.

  • Proactively reach out to secure outstanding documents such as signature cards, insurance policies, and financial statements.

  • Manage filing, communication, scheduling, and portfolio tasks to maintain efficient workflow and smooth operations.

  • Provide support in loan processing, closing activities, and post-closing monitoring to drive business growth.

  • Address customer inquiries while supporting electronic file preparation and report upkeep.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as directed to ensure operational success.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant education and experience may be considered in combination.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking, loan operations, portfolio management, deposits, or account servicing required.

  • Experience in commercial or corporate lending is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, loan documentation, loan systems, and portfolio management, including renewals and modifications.

  • Familiarity with core banking principles, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries.

  • Proficient in reviewing, processing, and auditing client documentation and financial records.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Capable of generating and interpreting reports to support portfolio and client management activities.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities while providing support to relationship managers and clients.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Word and Excel; experience with banking software systems is a plus.
